Big needs YOUR opinion
Well you all knew it was coming. My new car is great plenty of power ggreat manual trans and amazing color.
However.... The sound system SUCKS So I am planning my entire build to do it once and only once. My first options are head units should I go with the new alpine INA-W910BT Alpine INA-W910 (INA-W910BT) In-Dash Car Navigation Systems at Onlinecarstereo.com My only concern with this is the curved screen that comes out a slight bit. However this interface is MUCH faster than any of the kenwoods I have tried or installed. Or the kenwood 9980 with a slower interface but will sit flush in the dash. Kenwood Excelon DNX9980HD Navigation receiver at Crutchfield Signature I do not have a iphone so pandora streaming threw the head unit will not be used. It however will be used threw BT audio streaming. Thoughts? |
Link to the alpine installed in a car like mine.

I would go with the Alpine since it appears to be a superior unit. Pretty much your issue is down to what would look good but not be as fast vs what would look decent but work the best. I go with efficiency vs looks Matt ;)

I was thinking of getting the same headunit....I dont mind the bottom part of it.
Does the w910 offer bluetooth audio streaming though, I know the older model did??? |
I'd get the one that works best.
Just wondering, you know this is a Z forum, why did you not get a Z?:stirthepot: LOL |
I think it looks kinda nice with the bottom bit sticking out. Lets you know there are buttons there.

flush fit is the way to go, this is a car, not an audio suite. :D

Alpine all the way, the lip is nice to rest your finger on if you're playing with the lower buttons.

I've never been a fan on Kenwoods controls and menus. Alpine all the way!
