Navigation recall - software update

Just took my 2010 370z in for a service and complained about some problems with the Navigation system and the dealer said there is a recall out for a software update?

Has anybody else heard this as I couldn't find any threads? Taking it in tomorrow to have it updated.

Haven't heard about. It would be a TSB, not a recall.

There is a list of TSBs under the warranty/scheduled maintenance heading. Here's the TSB you are probably referring too.

I had it done in the hopes of getting the car to reliably pair with my Cliq phone. It didn't help me out though.

For those with a 2010 or 2011 370Z with Nav you might want your dealer to do the fix mentioned in TSB NTB10-125b

Important: The link mentioned in axeman71'ss post contains outdated info.. The TSB mentioned at that link was updated on 4/20/11! The new updated TSB is:

TSB NTB10-125b

This TSB addresses:

•Audio streaming via Bluetooth is “choppy” or “clipped.”
• “Calculating Route” takes an extended period of time (2-5 minutes) to complete.
• “Could not find a route” displays when attempting to calculate a route.
• Voice Recognition sequence takes too many steps.
• The Navigation system reboots.
• “Could not find a route” displays when attempting to calculate a route.
• Voice Recognition has difficulty recognizing voicetags.
• "Handset Phonebook" access is slow.
• XM NavTraffic is slow to report.
• When hands free call via Bluetooth is in progress and another call comes in there is no function available to answer the incoming call.

.

When making appt. with dealer for this TSB fix have them check to see if they have the NTB10-125b/ITB10-066b Reprogramming Software DVD that is necessary or they need to order it.

Hey, thanks for the info Billarf, the shop couldn't tell me what this updated addresses.

I was hoping this update would address the problem I am having with the Nav system, which is the accuracy of (or lack of) in terms of the car's position on the map, I'm experiencing the car being positioned 60 - 80ft off where I am, Eg. for instance when I come up to junctions and turn down the intended road, the Nav puts me in a field for 5 - 10 seconds before establishing which road I'm on. The same goes for driving parralel to other roads, the Nav system often has me on the wrong road road even if they are 60 - 80ft apart? Don't get me wrong this isn't happening all the time, but happening too frequently vs other GPS systems I've used in the past.

Does anybody else experience this?

New TSB for Navagation Update

1 Attachment(s)
FYI. 125b has been updated to 125d, and the current version does not reference the 2010 model anymore. I spent quite a bit of time going over this with the mechanics, and finally they were able to do the upgrade by referring to a newer TSB:

NTB10-068d

Make sure you reference this TSB if you want the upgrade on your 2010.
