Default Quick question about mounting an after market nav system

I have the bose system atm but i am thinking of switching out the head unit with a Kenwood system with nav.

I tried to do a search but couldnt find what i was looking for. Basically do i need to have a custom dash plate made for the kenwood system? Hard for me to explain but the pannel that is covering the bose system have holes designed for the bose head unit, do i modify the original or is there a place where i buy one that fits the new system.

Greatly appreciate the help.

So you have the bose with nav?

If yes than you need to go to nissan and buy the entire center dash panel for the base model and buy a metra dash kit and a bose wiring harness from someone like crutchfield.

If just a bose head unit just need the harness and the dash kit.
