Audison Bit One - Anybody running this processor
I'm going to be making several modifications to my setup. I will be swapping my JL components for Dynaaudio Esotect 242's and am also considering adding a Audison Bit One processor to my setup. Does anyone have any first hand experience with this processor?
My goal is to control the sound stage, enhance sq at low and high volumes and establish better overall control of the frequencies to each channel/speaker. Any thoughts on the performance of this unit would be greatly appreciated! |
Great unit I am using something simalar, the jbl ms-8.

So your basically saying that it's worth it and I wont be disappointed??? How much did you pay for the ms-8?

Bit-One Processor
The unit is amazing once it is programmed which I have heard is somewhat combersome to programmed. I heard one in a Audi where that was tuned to have sound imagined from the front center of the vehicle where no speaker was located. Check out DIY.com for specials where a dealer was selling new units for $750 shipped. A newer version is coming available this fall - Bit-Ten.

Thanks for the input. I'm going to go ahead and get it installed by my installer, who by the way is the one who suggested the bit one once I decided to go with the Dyna's.
I just wanted to make sure I wasn't buying into some snake oil product. |
IF you are putting as much money and time in the rest of your system as the processor such as high quality speakers and amps than yes. If you are going to hook it up to a kicker amp and polk db speakers than just go with a re-q5.
The system I installed one in has Hertz speakers and a audison amp running "active" threw the JBL. |
Bit1 is all that and some.
We use it with all hi-end installs. You can do just about anything you want. Tuning the car with your laptop in the car is priceless. Just finished 2 BMW systems with Bit1 and sound stage came out excellent. You can tune in or out any wanted or unwanted frequencies. Initialization needs to be done correctly. You ned the find your head units maximum non-clipped output at 1000Hz at 0 db. You will need the auto sound 2000 cd. I usualy like to see the output at 1000Hz and some lower frequencies to make sure there is enough head room. Best done with a proper equipment. It is definitely a great unit to invest. Let me know if I can help. |
Thanks again for the input guys. I'm definitely going to move forward with the bit one and dyna's. Once everything is complete I'll post pictures and provide a brief review.
