noob q about aswc wiring
 

Does the aswc get wired into the harness that goes to the radio or the. Harness for the box that sits under he radio?

Behind the head unit wiring harness.

Alright, Thanks for the reply. I do have it wired into the head unit harness. I have the 3.5mm jack plugged in also. But I cannot get it to pick up the head unit. It flashes very quickly without any long flashes, then changes to 7 longer flashes which implies an alpine unit or no unit detected. I have a Pioneer head unit. What should i do from here?

Did you cut and ground the wire from the harness?

If your referring to the ASWC harness, I did not. I hooked the ground from that up to the reciever ground that runs into the vehicles harness.
