Check this link for a direct fit with our Metra Dash kit. I'm planning on a Car PC as well as we don't have the luxury like US here in Malaysia.

[EDIT] Here are a couple of fun sites I ran into for browsing boards of various sizes (mini, nano, and pico itx) http://www.idotpc.com/TheStore/pc/vi...p?idCategory=2 http://axiomtek.com/products/ListPro...202&ptype2=205 CarPCs definitely lean towards the pricey range. I'd love to build an Atom or AMD Fusion system. Last edited by DIGItonium; 06-14-2011 at 09:40 AM. |

Digi : Yup, it seems ackward but i believe it can be customize if we dont want the USB port up front, i prefer a sleek/flush no button screen with high brightness, dont know if they could retrofit/recommend one and provide us the picture.

Another fun device is the WDTV Mini. With custom firmware, it's possible to load up a custom interface to play media files. The only draw back is the lack of touch screen support.

Guys, another addition of item if you want to go this route
RcJoyCon - Resistive Steering Wheel Controller Retain steering wheel control with these unit, it will emulate all the input signal from steering as a keyboard. Here are one of the install on 350z that replace the stock cubby with OEM nav, he replace the OEM NAV screen with another touchscreen, route the NAV button through Joycon. http://www.mp3car.com/worklogs/14677...n-console.html Great for those who wants to throw away their cubby, a bit on the expensive side i guess. Update, Final Hard Mount Install.
The first installs had the computer mounted to the center dash trim, a pain to work on as you had to disconnect cables to remove the trim. This time the comp is mounted to the plastic subframe under the dash trim. I am going to take it to the local stereo installer and have a custom fiberglass bezel insert made. This install pushes the computer back into the dash almost 2 inches(like the factory unit) to reduce glare.
