In the bose yes, or get the stock brackets. Only i have to ask why?

If your going to upgrade the audio you should go 6.5 and upgrade the tweeter as a pair. Running a coaxial set with or without a stock tweeter is not as good as a good 6.5 component set.

Yep, the bose system has 6x9's stock in the doors, but as asked, Why? Unless you are wanting some bass, and keep the weight down and don't care a lot about sq.

Go with a nice set of 6.5" Components.
Will be happy to help with selection.

Id rather go with the 6x9 for added bass. ill be replacing the front tweeters for the 2nd time due to them being blown. I have components polk audios right now.

Anyone have a part number for these brackets? 6.5 and 6x9?

Will i get more bass out of the 6x9 vs the 6.5?

Ryan

Why not go with 6.75 inch components and used the spacers from zenenclosures. That's what I did.

Thats what I would love to be able to go. Just get a nice HU, and some nice 6X9's and call it a day. No fancy HU/DVD screens, amps and sub enclosures... This is not a pimped out sedan sittin on 20's. It's a street/weekend track car

It is sort of a myth that 6X9's will give you more bas now a days. I mean of course there is more area for air to move. However You can still get solid bass out of a goo set of 6.5 keep in mind you are going to be dissapointed if you think your going to get "good bass" from speakers being powered by a head unit. You at least would want an amp.

I've got 6x9's in small enclosures behind the seats, powered by 75x2 @ 4ohms from a Sound Ordnance amp. Sounds peachy and definitely goes louder than I need. Took a while to install though.

Its no myth, a 6x9 is almost the same volume displacement of a 8" sub. It will have more bass, even off deck power due to its effishance. It won't sound as good as a 6.5 set, but it doesn't sound that that is a concern. And yes as big said even a small amp would help.
