So I want to change my head unit to a good aftermarket one. I currently have my stock unit with XM. I want to see if I can get aftermarket unit and use the same XM antenna that came with the car. I do not want to rewire the one that comes with aftermarket radio and I do not want to have two one being useless.

I was able to do that but had the Bose head unit. The XM box is located behind the seats and I was able to unplug the antenna and plug it into the new box without a problem - same XM connection.
