Ipod cable for base AUX input
I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, but for anyone who's not upgrading their base audio system and wants a good Ipod adapter cable, I got one from CablesToGo.com (4ft iPod-Compatible 3.5mm to Dock Connector Audio Cable - Cables To Go). It's a 3.5mm AUX input to dock connector, you get the best possible sound quality becasue it connects directly to your Ipod's dock connector and not the headphone jack.

does it work with iphone 3Gs?
|
The website says that it works with the Ipod Touch, so i'd assume it works with the Iphone as well. I use it with my new Ipod Nano... whatever generation is the newest.

BUT does it charge you i-pod?
|
nope, sorry. No charging.

Thanks for sharing the info. I wanted the one you have but settled for this one for time being.

I ended up going with this (pic below), I like the right-angle which essentially keeps it from sticking out almost completely.

I'm wondering if there is an interface we can use for the non-bose stereo system. It's a lot easier to control the ipod through the stereo system with one cable that allows charging as well.
