Default SoundCraft System Install

Finally got the chance to head over to a very reputable local shop in New London, CT (SoundCraft) and have them work on the car. I was leaving CT to move to VA and I really wanted them to work on the car before i left. They did a great job and it sounds amazing! A little pricey but at the end of the day im satisfied and couldnt have asked for anything better.

Install includes:
Pioneer z130
RF Punch 6.5 comps
RF punch 5.25 coax (rear)
JL 13W5 sub
and 2 JL amps.

Nice.
Curious though. How come they put in a "350" Z instead of a 370?

I would of at least went with focal or polk audio rather then RF speakers. But that is a personal choice I guess.

Is the 5.25 rear speaker size standard for the Nismo or did some custom work have to be done for that speaker to fit?

The Nismo dosen't come with rear speakers, but spots are there for a 3.5" the 5.25" that were used in this install were 'glassed in a different spot.

Ah, got it. I'm pretty much done purchasing my audio system but am wondering if I should install the 3.5's for rear fill only......I guess it couldn't hurt....

I wouldn't...cause it can hurt, if not set up right it will start to pull the sound stage to the back, which is the oposite of what you want.

I did and it doesn't pull the sound to the back. You'd have to jack all of the controls to the back and reduce in the front to get that kind of imbalance. I HATED only have the front speakers because if felt completely imbalanced. By putting in the rears I got the "full" kind of sound that I want. Of course there are massive EQ controls on the Kenwood that I have, so you can get a real good balance.

It's all preferance, i wouldn't run rears, but if thats the sound you like, giver.
I always ask people, when you go to a concert where do you look? the stage? If yes, where are the speakers? on stage, yes, so infront of you? Yes. Well then isn't that where you want the sound to come from? I

If the fronts are set up right you should not need rears in such a small car, IMO.

I hear that argument all of the time, but when you go to a concert, there is a LOT of echo. You don't get echo in a car, or at least very little.
I felt a "dead" space behind me without the rear speakers.
