streaming bluetooth audio
I have gotten no luck in streaming bluetooth audio from my phone to my car stereo. I have an 09' touring with no nav. I am assuming that the car's bluetooth profile does not support A2DP (required from streaming audio). Is there a software update the dealer can do to make this work? I find it hard to believe that my $50 portable BT speaker phone can steam music from my phone but my $35K Z can not.

There was just a discussion about the same subject, I believe the word was that you can not stream Bluetooth in the 2009with or without nav. Do a search and you'll find the thread.

What about 2010 touring, no nav?
|
I'm pretty sure you cannot stream to any of the non-nav factory radios.

i think i read you can stream to the radio of 2011s even non navi.

I have yet to find a way to stream via bluetooth to my 40th.....

What about a new head unit? If I get one of those put in, can whoever installs it make the steering wheel controls work with it? I've seen those bluetooth audio gateway things, but the whole reason I want to do bluetooth is to stop using that audio cable and be able to use my steering wheel buttons.

Can't do it in an 09 without replacing everything

It's unfortunate that the Z doesn't allow streaming BT audio, but this car really wasn't designed for audio and bells/whistles. It seems more geared towards straight power and driving. But I agree it should have it..
For now, use the aux input and a cable.. Works for me. |
Is there a solution for this yet? I just bought a 40th, and would like to use the controls on the steering wheel.
