Not to hijack the thread, but I bought this device for my '09 Touring with NAV, based on your post. I put it in the console and connected to the AUX RCA's using the provided cable, and use the 12V "lighter" socket in the console with a 2 port usb adapter to power it (one port for this, one for charging a phone), so it's all self contained within the console. It works great! A couple of features:

Bluetooth pairing using NFC works great, but can still pair with a phone manually.

The device automatically reconnects to the last device that it was connected to.

The car's bluetooth pairing with the phone is still active, meaning my phone is paired to the car for calls, and to this box for audio streaming at the same time.

I'm going to try to find shorter cables, as the cable bundles take up more room in the console that this box does, but right now it out of sight; out of mind...

I have an 09 with Nav and wanted the Bluetooth streaming audio experience as well. I also wanted to be able to control the media player and see the song metadata on the car's screen, just like if I had a iPod connected. I also wanted to use my Android phone as the media player.

Turns out that I had to build my own interface (which I just started working on again). It connects to the iPod interface cable and mimics an iPod (as far as the car is concerned) and relays commands and data to and from a connected Bluetooth device.

This is the only way I know of that you can play and control a Bluetooth device using the 2009's native controls. It just does not have any other mechanism for his.

Below is my current solution that I am using daily:
2009 370Z IPOD -> A2DP Bluetooth Unit
