HTC Thunderbolt and Bluetooth
I have the 40th Anniversary Edition. Just bought the HTC Thunderbolt phone and I can not get it to stay connected to the stock radio bluetooth in the Z! Anyone else have that problem? I did a general online search and it looks like alot of people are having problems with the new HTC connecting to various bluetooth devices. I called HTC and they said the Thunderbolt is not list as being supported on the Nissan website. Well, DUH. It IS a brand new model phone, but isn't bluetooth supposed to be a standard? I had no trouble using my Motorola Droid. Anyone out there find a fix or work-around for the problem? I know you guys are smart,...

I don't know about storing the phonebook in the car...maybe the Nav option does that...but my Touring package Bluetooth system connects reliably to my iPhone and accesses the phone's address book. I don't know about the Android phones, but that car couldn't use the address book on my Blackberry. My guess is that some implementations of the Android OS don't work with the Nissan Bluetooth system.

I actually have no problem with my thunderbolt and my bluetooth. It sometimes takes an extra 60 seconds to connect vs my prior iphone and blackberry, but zero problems as far as dropping connection. And not all bluetooths are equal. There are numerous diff versions such as bt 1.2, 2.0, 2.1, 2.1&edr, 2.2 and 3.0

I have a Motorola Atrix on Android 2.2; connects and holds fine, contacts are easily accessed BUT the Nissan hands-free mic is absolutely un-usable! I can hear my callers perfectly, but they can't hear me. They keep saying I'm breaking up; they get bits and pieces of what I say but we cannot even complete a call far enough to say and be understood saying "i'll call you back".
Nissan did some kind of "update" but it's no better. Anyone else having issues with the on-board mic? |
