You can do that with most of them however it is a tad easier for some to do it right after the amp more wiring more room easier space to work with.

Is it possible to remove all the Bose stuff but keep the oem nav or is the Bose amp some how integrated in to it?

Yes an no, you can keep the bose head unit find the pre out wires run them to a re-q 5 for a total of like 12 wires unless you omit the rear speakers which I recommend doing than run a new amp to power your new speakers and sub. You can do this after the bose amp as well.Just make sure that the switch on the re-q is setup to the proper input.

So, i am kind of confused right now... if someone can help me here, I have a 2011 Manual 370z With Nav.... So That includes the Bose System....

1) Now, Is there any way to remove the Bose head Unit? If So, where can i find its Dash Kit to fit a Single Din/ Double Din ?

2) What Functions Do i lose If i remove the Bose Head Unit? (If Possible)

3) I was told to go with the JL Audio CleenSweep Method. Should I?

4) Basically, i want to remove Bose Head Unit, Bose Amp, Bose Speakers, And anything else bose... Just leave the OEM Nav, and bluetooth etc.... Is this possible?

1. Yes, buy the base model dash from your nissan dealer than buy a aftermarket dash kit to install the new head unit. UNLESS you buy a adapter you will have to install new speakers at least and a sub if you want that to work as well which will require an amp.

2. Bluetooth if you have it and stock gps antenna which you will not worry about if you are using a single din head unit.

3. No, simply because you have to use a small volume knob instead of the actually volume on your bose head unit. So you would have to make sure not to touch your head units volume and you would to install a cheesy little volume knob somewhere.

4. As I said before yes and no, you will need the bose head unit to integrate with the nav system so you can not have it both ways. You can use a re-q5 or something and go from the stock bose head unit and stock nav to all new stuff other than that you are looking at a entire aftermarket system including aftermarket nav. Reason being is the bose system is all wired in with the nav.

So re-q5 is better then jl cleansweep? It does not have that cheesy mini volume button ?? I was also looking at Rockford Fosgate® - 3SIXTY.2 and Rockford Fosgate® - 3SIXTY.3. What do you think about those?

bigaudiofanat, Thanks...

Not a problem, from what I have done the only one that has the cheesy knob is the JL all the rest should be ok including the 3SIXTY.

JBL makes one if you want to get really serious with audio.

Audio control also has a bunch of them, as well a new peice that should be out in the next couple weeks, the LCQ-1.

It sounds like we may disco the ReQ's by the way.

If I was buying a brand new 2011 370Z I would choose one without the Nav package... As you know aftermarket offers much better solutions with much less limitations.

If i was buying a USED 370Z I would get the one with better price and mileage, and if it came with Nav great... You can still work with the stock system... There are adapters you can get for Back up cam etc... And if you want to build a system you can still use high-end processors and get great sound out of the stock radio.

At the end if you have to dish out the $2800 out of pocket... DO NOT DO IT...

Exactly. The Bose system is just fine in a car with minimal sound insulation where you're ears are about 18 inches from the rear wheels. Never could see how an audiophile could justify a top-end system with the noise and distortion that THAT imposes on the listening experience. The best sound system in the world isn't going to overcome the road noise inherent to the Z.

Nav? I find MotionX Drive on my iPad/iPhone (also plugged into the Bose) to be superior, based on my experience with Nav on my wife's Murano. MotionX Drive app costs $3.99, add $20 if you want voice. Even if I needed Navigation, I just couldn't justify the expense of the OEM unit.

The 2010 can add a backup cam pretty easily, the 2009 you can get a box to add a backup cam.

Upgrades run $150 to $200, so pretty expensive.

Overall integration is nice.
Do the 2009's have the ability to play movies, even if the dealershit has to do something to the car?
