I see your a bit new to the site, so i'll offer some help, but in the future, Search is your friend...
A lot of people seem to go Polk on this site, i personally wouldn't touch them. If you are looking at a basic componate set check out the MTX TX6, they will work with just a HU, but an amp will make them come alive. for an amp i would look at a MTX RT602.

Other brands worth looking at would be Focal and Boston Acoustic. IMO

I will have to dig it up but I think i remember you posting that you put polks in and liked them.

Anyway welcome to the forum polk speakers are great bang for the buck and work well if you want to keep your stock head unit. However as you will find with search many tend to change the head unit for more quality sound and more power and options.

I guaranty I didn't, not once in the almost 20 years of being in the industry have i put polks in a car. But if you think you can find it you have more time to waste then i do.

I like Focal a lot, but most should be used with a 4-channel.....I just put some Rockford T-2's in that I like for the price I paid....also with an amp though. I know They make a set of 6.5 (Rockford that is) that wouldn't need an amp and sound pretty solid for around 100 bucks.

Focal and alpine type r's are great however they are not going to be anywhere near as good as they can be being powered by 20 watts of power from a head unit. They would need an external amp.

^^ yup. Throw a PDX in there and it will fit right under the passenger seat so it is a nice clean install. You can also bridge the rear if you want to add a single sub in the future.
