new speakers
 

today i went to a north dallas stereo shop ( earmark) ask for price on polk DB6501 install and dynamat the door.polks get good reviews here and on other sites.He tells me polks are no good ! that I need JL audio speakers and that stock head unit won't drive them and I need a small amp they don't use dynamat they use hush mat and all this is only going to cost me $972.00 +tax.is this price high or am I just out of touch on pricing.:shakes head:

I'm not sure what priicng is like in the US, but i perfer Hush Mat over Dynamat all day long.
Is this price including an amp? What amp? what model of speakers?

I think I'd find another shop.

sounds like hes trying to sell you on what he carries in stock....."polks suck, you should get these Arc Audio speakers...btw, i have these in stock. I can give you a great price with an amp/speaker/hushmat combo." sound familiar

Call him up (as another potential customer, maybe you drive a 350z) and try to get the same thing and see what he says. IMO, thats a good way to tell if the shop is legit or not. Not their quality of work, but at least if they are trying to do this to your b-hole :leghump:
