Stock speakers blew
Ok I did that just to lure you in. Anyway, they're blown, they were crap anyway, they're the stock base ones because I have a NISMO. What I want to know is what speakers I should replace those horrible ones with, I want all of them gone. Preferably something that can produce some good lows and highs. For the time being, I plan to keep the stock H/U but it's getting replaced in a few months. Suggestions? I can't even find out what size speakers are in there even after hitting the search button a few times. Thanks.
Is this able to hook up to the stock H/U and just work? http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...e-SPR-17S.html |
on the nismo you can fit a 12" in the doors with no problem.

The DB6501's will fit fine, I have the DXi6500's :
Polk Audio DXi6500 6-1/2" component speaker system at Crutchfield.com and they fit just fine with the included spacers. |
Does the Polk Audio DB6501's come with 2 tweeters? Because Amazon's fail images only show 1 lol.... Otherwise if yes to all of the above I'm going to get these right now.

they come with 8.
yah, 2. |
I suggest you get a nice exhaust put down your windows and stop listening to the crap on the radio anyways... the exhaust note will keep you entertained
if you use crutchfield.com they will give you all the spec's of what you need along with what will and wont fit... so you can get the sizes and go elsewhere if you find it cheaper. |

i bought the db6501s. Give yourself several hours for the install and pay attention!
More beers = more time for the install... Mine took about 4 hrs and alot of beer Also, if you spray the speaker wires with wd40, EVOO or KY (any lube will do) it will make running them through the door easier. I had to use a coat hanger to fish the drivers side through. |
