Connect the emergency handbrake wire to ground permanently and most HU's will let you watch a DVD while in motion - not that I would recommend that if you are driving but a passenger might be entertained this way.

That works too! My HU had a separate wire that said "Connect to Emergency Brake Ground" so I just found a nearby ground screw and tied that sucker down. :)
