AM/FM bad reception

Guys I need help. I got JVC KW-XR610 unit in my care and the FM/AM reception is pretty bad. I did not install the radio so I"m not sure what

I got JVC KW-XR610 unit in my care and the FM/AM reception is pretty bad. I did not install the radio so I"m not sure what the deal is but i took the unit out and checked the antenna and the blue cable that powers the antenna's amplifier, all seems to be in the right place. everything else works just fine Any ideas ??
