You have to hook the camera's power line to a switched power source instead of hooking to the backup lights like a lot of people have done. I've got the Kenwood DNX9960 and I can hold the "AUD" button and the camera turns on.

Resolution is good enough to see a car there or not. The cam is a funny view anyways with the fisheye effect. But, in order to see almost 190 degrees or something, of course it is. And, yes you can turn your cam on while driving. As long as your camera is hooked up on ignition or accesory. You only hook reverse to your head unit. Then, it will automatically switch when put in reverse. Or, you can just turn it on while driving to see backward. Mounted the camera centered and far to the back. Maybe not the cutest spot for it. But, definitely the spot it works best. It is always nice when you can see the edge of the bumper and it is positioned just for this. Just watch out mounting it with the trunk buttons and the license plate lights.Photo0340.jpg
