It can prove cheaper in the long run to get the latest equipment now rather than upgrading the latest equipment later. If you're going to spend hundreds of dollars on an older model anyway, why not spend 50% - 75% more to get the latest technology now? You will be happier and more compatible longer as technology continues to evolve.
