Am frequency loud but FM low

So this question is about a 2008 Nissan xtrerra x I purchased today. For some reason am frequency is loud and delievers like normal. Fm though produces very little sound. If the volume is up all the way u can here sound as if the radio was at 3 volume but once u switch to am it blasts loudly.

I never experience this and not sure what is causing it. Antanna?

I would say the FM amplifier in the HU. Is it stock?

Try and get on of those FM modulators for iPods. It tunes to the antenna really close to the HU. if it's loud, then it will be the antenna on the vehicle. Still soft, I would say it's e head unit.
