I've got a bazooka powered sub slotted in the space under the floor mat right behind the strut bar. It sounds great, and I might be interested in selling it if you want, as I am moving in a different direction with the car now and no longer need a stereo system.

You could do a powered box, but honestly, the SQ/clarity of that setup might not be as good as just getting a matched sub/amp. You don't really have to get biggest/best out there, but even a good pair would be less than $500 and sound better. Just my

If you are just looking for some good quality bass I would look into either a stealth box or something like the kenwood slim stealth sub. I installed one in a z last year, it was not crazy bass but gave music a warmer tone than without one. I would recommend that over the bazooka tube as they can be very "boomy" nothing against yours rockstar.

its mine, not Rockstars, and its not boomy at all, plus it takes up zero room in the car.

Rockstar, its a 6.5" sub.

Thanks, I am looking for something that takes up zero room in the car too...

A buddy of mine had a bazooka tube and I liked the sound of it...

How did you get that Bazooka to fit? I took some measurements and at 8" high ... it doesn't work in either direction. Does it stick up some above the foam level in your car? I think this is an awesome place for a subwoofer, but I would like it to completely fit under the carpet without sticking up if possible.

Thanks!

I saw Mike's bazooka install, so I went ahead and bought my own. Once it was wired up, I just cut the foam and plopped the sub down in there...the carpet fits perfectly, and you can't even tell there is anything in the trunk at all. You kind of have to twist the sub back and forth to get it to wedge down in the hole, but it is not hard and once it is down there and supported by the remaining foam, it will not move at all.

I have been used to ported 12" subs pushing around 600 watt rms prior to this sub. I have to say, there are certain songs that make me wish I had spent more on a stealth box with a full sized sub, but honestly for 95% of the music I listen to this bazooka is PLENTY. I got it for $190 shipped, so you cant beat that price for an amp+sub+box (plus weighs very little)...especially if you want stealth. Also, I consider this cheaper sub as a health plan for my ears

The tube is fine like I said if you just want some boom but for clear bass you like you said would have wanted a stealth box.

It is pretty amazing, it is almost like that size of Bazooka was made specifically for the car! Did you go with the 100 watt amplified or the 250 watt amplified bazooka tube? They both look to be the same dimensions. Did you put any foam around the Bazooka on the bottom and around the sides to prevent vibaration or rattles since it is plastic up against the metal of the car?

Thanks for the comments ... I really appreciate them. I agree, a health plan for the ears. I am just looking for good solid/tight bass.
