Roadster trunk enclosure ideas - HELP!
 

Okay need some ideas. I do not have a spare, so a lot of room to play with. I want to run a single 10, 12 or shallow mount 13 in the trunk. The max mounting depth is 6.5". I calculated around 1.5 - 1.75 cu air max to play with. I have considered 1) making a mold using the foam insert, 2) making a good ole fashion rectangular box or 3) masking off the whole area and glassing from scratch. What do you think? :confused:

I did not know convertible did not come with a spare tire.

It looks like you have tons of room to work with. You can easily do a slim sub. not necessarily need a slim sub. using the foam to do an enclosure is a great idea. You may want to see if you can fire the sub in to the floor and vent it into the trunk which will create a much better responce for you. That will also allow you to have usefull trunk space. you will still be able to put struff on the trunk floor.

Its an option that i did pay attn to, lol. I did get a bottle of slim and a compressor though!

I also considered using a 10w3 instead. Thx for the ideas!
