Nissan doesn't leave much in the way of extra wire to attach to the new speakers especially if you are hooking them up to a crossover first. The stock wire was long enough for me to hook up my Infinity coaxial speakers that were my initial upgrade. I spliced a longer wire to them just to have a sound check and make sure all my speakers were working once I installed my component set. (I bought them used of another forums classified section and wanted to make sure that they were 100% operational). I them wired up my amps and swapped HU.
