Stock V. Upgrades
 

Here I am, reading, ad nauseum, all the threads about stereo mods, etc... I loved my car for the first year. The Bose with Nav, sport tour was perfect for about 6 months. Then I got many ideas on modifications for the sub box builds, amps, etc to enhance the sound quality of my vehicle. Now I am driving a car which the stereo sucks, the road noise is NOW noticable, and I want to mod the motion sensor to access the video and nav in motion.

I really don't understand why people hate the stereo in this car. It seems pretty good to me.

I wish I thought the stocker sounded good. Would have saved me a lot of time. Love my focals though.

Custom sub box in lieu of spare tire, 1.04 ft3, running a P3 RF 12inch, 350rms. Holy crap! Started with an 8 inch comp Kicker, and it was nice, but the 12 is amazing. Anyone thinking about an 8", I would reconsider. The depth and tone is much better with the 12.

You are never done a audio system my civic has been through at least 5 different sets of speakers. but that is because I am a nut when it comes to trying different speakers.

You will love it and as always BOSE BLOWS!!!

I agree, and thanks for the grounding issue. I sanded the paint off a little more and it worked without the engine hummm

the stock system is the worst factory stereo ever made,hands down.
i couldn't wait to pull mine out. what is it 4 or 5 watts.

Stock system in any car can't compare once you've heard a real setup.
