I've got the rear park assist and after setting my mirrors correctly I don't have any problems backing up. The only problem I have is when reversing out of an angle park, I cant see the traffic coming down the road and a cam isn't going to fix that.

That is primarily what I got my camera for. Coming out of an angled spot is nearly impossible, but the camera fixed that issue.

ALWAYS reverse into parking spots! In some towns in BC, it is the law. Prevents a lot of accidents.

CMOS 200 is all you need and it looks great on the Nav. Hard to see it from behind the car too.

Great, thank you. And I imagine new software for the Nav system too or no?

I usually prefer to back into spots but this car is making second guess that lol.

I azz park (or enthusiast park) all the time without a back up cam...you'll get used to the sightlines. Use the rear wheel well bulges in the side mirrors to judge side to side distance. And remember, you're sitting a little further back than in a sedan. ;-) Having that back up cam this spring will really help things out. Can't wait to try it.

My problem is parking garages where you can't reverse in. One way!!

No software required, but you do have to enable the camera settings in the Nav service mode. There is a thread for that.

Post up some pics where you guys installed the rear view. I'm curious to see how it looks.

Mine is hibernating during the winter. It's installed just inside of the left license light. Like I posted earlier, this thread has more info and some pics:

Here's where I installed mine. You can barely see it.

If you get the plug and play kit from bdl99 for the 2010 nav, it's very easy to connect. Hardest part is just removing the trunk panels to run the camera wires

I have the rear fog light wired up to flash in reverse to help out with the blindspot issues.
