one last suggestion on an amp

so i will soon have a little IRS refund to spend not much but some.

anyway so far iv'e upgraded to a jvc kw xr810. pretty decent head...
and a set of jbl component speakers.. over all it's got a pretty decent sound. good highs, mids and good bass. iv'e noticed when the car is off the overall sound is vastly improved.

the 370 does have some road noise i can live with that. so i think i need to add an amp. can anyone suggest a decent one that won't bust the bank.

and do i need a two channel or four. sorry to ramble.

Here are three

WoofersEtc.com - TXA-3002 - Cadence 2 Channel High Power 600 Watt Amplifier

WoofersEtc.com - Solid2 - Focal 2 Ch 200 Watt Amplifier (Black)

WoofersEtc.com - 300/2 - JL Audio 2 Ch. Amplifier

The cad is a solid bang for the buck amp that I have used in a few installs I was impressed.

How are Boston Acoustic amps? Crutchfield is running a pretty good sale on them. Was thinking about getting this one to power my Elemental Designs e5.12 sub:

I am not a big fan of Cadence amps they are High end of Low end.

Solid Focal amps just don't have the power needed. they never did that is why you find them cheap most stores will have clearance on them. We tried them and were not impressed.

JL 300/2 or 300/2v2 has a very smooth sound and very powerfull. Great amp compared to the above 2. Night and day difference.

Sound deadening will also help with your road noise and enhance the sound of the speakers you will be installing.

I've got the older GT40 bridged running a pair of a/d/s/ 325is components in my wife's old del Sol. They're remarkably smooth, and extended on the top end; at least thru the a/d/s/ comps.

If I had to criticize them, they're a bit laid back dynamically; which could be attributed to my set up: it's hard to set the crossover/gains while the amp's bridged.

I've got a new GTA-2125 (2ch) about to go in it's place - so I do like the BA amps.
