Single DIN... anyone?

Is anyone using a single DIN head unit? If so, what type of dash kit and pocket did you use?

:tiphat:

You use the metra dash kit and I think scho... has one as well. Both are good and I have done a few installs with single dins.

Thanks!

I'm really leaning towards the iDA-X305s!

I'm leaning towards a single din audio solution, as the Touchscreen interfaces on the major vendors don't seem quite polished yet, not as snappy as classic receivers and I actually prefer my eyes on the road :).

bigaudiofanat:

Is there any dash kit that includes ports for USB/AUX on the space under the radio or will I have to employ my dremmel hopping I don't make a mess.

Any opinions on the Kenwood Excelon KDC-X994?

I'm running a Metra kit also with a single din.

actually i bought the doubledin cause i hate how small the buttons are on my dd's single din HU. i use the touchscreen for the large icons.

^^ Not really sure, I'm getting the Alpine installed in about 2 weeks. Front using it before it's really nice. I've always been a fan of Alpine stuff though so I'm partial.

^_^

that's cool, make sure it's got remote input so that you can control from your steering wheel too using pheripheral or pac or watever your choice. :)
