pioneer z110bt refurbished

im not sure if this is suppose to be posted in the audio section but heres my problem. I bought a refurbished z110bt from ebay. i never installed it in my car everything was pretty much brand new in the box. I posted it on craigslist for sale. The seller wants his money back says that he is not getting sound out of the unit. I took this unit to a shop before sale and they said everything was working. Am i obligated to give him his money back?

Well if the unit was as described he has no right to want his money back. You never promised it was gonna perform exactly like he imagined, you delivered a unit that was 100% working with no flaws and he took a chance buying it without testing to see if he was satisfied with it's performance.

I don't see where he has any pull here, it was as described and worked just fine, sounds like he made the mistake of ecpecting this unit to do to much in my opinion..hope this helps

Did the guy install it himself? If he had no valid knowledge of correct installation, then he's got a problem. If you verified that it was working, then I sure wouldn't feel any obligation to refund the money.

If you can have the shop vouch for the operation of the unit, you can show the buyer that. He'd need to prove he installed it perfectly then; but dunno how'd he do that...

He said that everything was working fine then couple days the sound went out. I don't understand how that could be my fault. He said he is not happy with the unit and if the sound can't be fix he wants his money back. But then I'm stuck with a unit that doesn't work.

Sounds to me like he took a risk buying something as is on craigslist. He installed it, it was working then it stopped working. That can happen with any unit. That's why I only buy from somewhere with a warranty or return policy. Did u offer any sort of return policy beforehand? If not then you don't have to return it.

Depending on the car and what the factory system was and hoping he knew what he was doing the unit can become damaged because of improper install.

Yea for all u know he could have hooked it up wrong. Ask him what it's doing and ask the tech guys if the recall the issue
