You mention SPDT, is that for just the parking brake switch? You need either: 1 x DPDT or 1 X SPST (for speed) and 1 x SPDP (for Parking Brake) The reason for this is with the speed sensor you are just making or breaking the connection where as with the Parking Brake you are making or redirecting the connection. In my diagram I show using a DPDT switch. Hope that helps. |

I redirected the Parking Brake connection by connecting the Ground wire to the metal next to the Parking Brake lever(please see image No. 3), but it doesn't seem working. Where would be the best place to connect this Ground wire to? Thanks alot!!! Last edited by gdk2080; 07-02-2012 at 01:33 PM. |

Can you send a picture of how you have wired the back of the switch? I think that is more likely to be the issue. Last edited by bdl99; 07-02-2012 at 05:31 PM. |

Figured I would mention that the Car Kit Company now, along with the bypass kit for the 370Z, also has a a similar kit for the Nissan Leaf and a few other Nissan models. Perhaps you have a friend or family member that has a Nissan that would benefit by one of the terrific offerings in the list below:

Without going through 22 pages of this thread, is there a way to connect a rearview cam to a '09 nav/sat/bose system? I have searched quite a bit but haven't found a good answer.
Thanks!! |

But to answer your question: Nissan 370z - Car Kit Company I created the kit for the 2010+ 370z and originally arranged a group buy and continued to offer the kits. Jeff (no longer a 370z owner) arranged a group buy for the 2009 cars. You basically need an RGB converter for 2009 cars which puts the price up. I do a kit for the GT-R that would technically work for the 370z. |

I appreciate the kit, but I'd rather do what I did with my Lexus IS to save a bit of $$$. They have a Nav by-pass similiar to yours, but a lot of people, including myself, did a Nav hack with cutting a wire and grounding another behind the HU for vid in motion. My goal is to connect my rear view cam to the aux input in the center console via this same method. I connected my cam last night and it worked well....as long as the e-brake was up one notch. Of course, I don't want this. Any links to this hack would be appreciated or do I need to read every page? I did see the link at the begining, but it looked like it was for '10+ Thanks!! |
