Looking at buying some JL's
Hey, I found these speakers on crutchfield.com: JL Audio VR525-CSi they are on sale for their black holiday sale. I would like to know if anyone has them, also what is your opinion's, what kind of brackets I will need? Or if the brackets will come with the speakers? My head unit is a Eclipse AVN 726E. Do I need an amp? I'm am looking at these because the price is hard to pass up!! Thanks in advance.

these speakers are for the doors, and have 3/4" tweets....they are component thanks
|
those are 5.25 inch speakers, too small. You need 6.5inch ones for the Z.
My advice would be to do some searching in this audio section. lots of info here. |
right on thanks a lot...I have been doing a lot of research, and those are too small you are correct....thanks a lot
|
I would also advise looking around there is a lot of info here also better speakers for lower price than what you buy JLS for IMO. What is your budget and are you amping the speakers? Also what do you listen to?

Also remember to buy speaker Spacers from zenclosures or your speakers will have to be include by local audio shop. Spacers are twenty bucks and damn good deal from them. Quality piece also

If you go with a slim speaker like the polk db's you will not need spacers but other than that you will.
|
my infinity 63.9i's fit without spacers. 2 5/16in is mounting depth. I did only get 3 out of 4 screws, but it holds.
|
I have the VR-650 good speakers (200) I think is what I paid at amazon. You will need spacers got mine at zenclosures (25) shipped.

shop for the 6.5 speakers comp. set. Then once you figure out which ones your buying you will need to know the dimensions of the backing of the speaker. Even though the speakers are 6.5 the hole is going to either be a 5, 5.25, 5.50 5.75. So once you get the right size go to zenclosures and when you buy them online it will ask you what size hole to cut. I just went through all of these and I know what your going through lmao
