Getting a Z soon.
I am leaning toward a 370z with the Sport package because stock radios aren't good enough for my liking. That being said since the cabin of the car is small and I see people takling about only using 2 front 2ways and a sub in the rear, I was interested if anyone had any pics of subwoofer installs or suggestions on placement without the unsightly box in the hatch. I currently have 2 10w3v2 subs in my current vehicle and they are mounted in the rear fender areas so they cant be seen. I want to keep the interior of the car clean and an looking to keep all the stereo parts stealthed in the car. I am getting a 2din Nav HU, probably the Kenwood DNX7120. I was thinking with the size of the cabin that only 1 sub would be fine but if I can't find a spot to mount 1 and keep the rear symmetrical then I will look at doing a sub on each side. With all the above mentioned does anyone have a suggestion on component speakers for the doors? I don't want to spend an arm and a leg but I am not cheaping out either. I like the JL subs I have but if anyone has any suggestions on other subs and installation alternatives that would be great. Also I like the parts to be clean looking without all the bells and whistles. I have JL amps in my current car and like the clean look of them. Any input is much appreciated. Sorry for the length of the post.

Well I am doing just that...I got the Base + Sport.... I am replacing head unit with Pioneer Avic F900BT....replacing door speakers and tweeters by " Focal "....and leaving the solution of a rear base to the Custom install experts....but I will be looking for a solution that provides a bit of obscurity with the woofer placement yet still providing a hint of deeper base sounds.
I am researching like crazy. Sorry not much in this. |

I would do like a couple of people on here have already done and lose the spare tire (get AAA Gold instead) and put the sub there. This is the same thing I did with my 350Z and the sound was truly excellent. Here is the best example I've seen so far for the 370:
