Bose speaker locations?

I have searched the threads and can't find what I'm looking for. Am I wrong or does the Bose system come with 8 speakers? I can only see the 2 in the doors, the 2 in the dash, and the 2 on the sides behind the seats. Plus a sub... But that still doesn't equal 8. What am I missing?? Or am I just retarded lol

Courtesy Nissan's diagram also shows only 7 speakers? Lol
Nissan's retarded.

Anyway, so the sub in the rear is a dual sub? I didn't know that, I always thought it was one sub.

I just recently deleted my pictures of the sub pics...I had taken the Bose sub apart one day back in 09'. There are two 4" subs in the box; they are pathetic and cheap-*** paper. There is also an additional amp in the sub box that is about the size of a garage door opener...say about 4" x 2".

2 tweeters
2 woofers
2 rears "pointless"
dual subs in the enclosure

2012 370Z Bose 8-Speaker Configuration

Does anybody know what the sizes of the stock bose speakers are? I know there are 2 4-4.5" useless subs in the spare tire location, but as for all the other 6 speakers, what are their sizes?

bigaudiofanat 04-16-2012 06:10 AM

6x9 fronts
3.3 rears
subs.....i think like 2 inches

Tweeters all all the same size.

You will want to go with a et of 6.5 component for the front instead of 6x9's. They just do not make that many 6x9 component sets.

pardon me for resurrecting this old thread, but i might be looking tp upgrade my system, its the Bose system that came in the 2010 40th anniversary 370z.

I'm looking to get an 8 speaker system, with an aftermarket amp.

I was thinking of putting in some focals or morel tempo.

I'm aware I'll have to get a rear set of speakers separately.

debating what to do with the sub woofer. I would like to upgrade it, although I know the previous owner already took out the old sub woofers and put new ones into the dual sub woofer housing.

What are you looking to get out of the sub? I'm going with a pair of 8" subs in my build but realistically I could have gotten away with a single 8 and have plenty of volume. I only went with two because it'll better fit the look I'm going for. With such a small space to fill with sound a small sub will get pretty loud and get decent extension on the lows. All comes down to how it's built really.
