Speaker Setup - Power Configuration

This might be an extremely dumb question, but since the base model only has front speakers, is there a way to tie the front and rear power from an after market stereo so that the front speakers are receiving the power normally going to the rear speakers? For example, the Kenwood dnx7120 is rated at 22Wx4 (RMS). Is it possible to configure that to 44Wx2?

It seems like most after market speakers like more power than the after market radio can supply in a 4x speaker setup (especially if running component speakers) - hence I've always added an extra speaker amp.

Any information on this will be appreciated. Thanks.

not possible.

The Headunits are not build for that. if you are lucky it might function some time - if not ... enjoy the smoke from the radio ;)
never ever bridge the channels of a radio

That's amplifier bridging, and the internal amplifiers in the head unit are not designed for that.

What you might be able to do is feed each channel to a separate woofer and tweeter, but each speaker needs to get its own passive crossover. If the head unit allows each speaker to have its own crossover settings it would compliment this setup nicely.
