When i upgrade my stock radio to the kenwood HU will my xm radio still work without intervention or will i have to call XM and give them any info

XM Radio Question
When i upgrade my stock radio to the kenwood HU will my xm radio still work without intervention or will i have to call XM and give them any info on my new radio?
Is XM radio controlled by vehicle vin or something to do with the radio? |

Depends if you are still on the free trial, if so then no i don't think they can help, but if you are paying monthly then they should be able to transfer it over, you will need both radio ID numbers. channel 1.

Is this portable? If so can you take it outside to then try sending it a signal from their website. I have had similar problems with activating radios for the cars I have with them.
