Software/Firmware Upgrades for 2009 NAVI/Stereo?
 

Are there any upgrades available for the 2009 system?

I get the impression that the the 2010+ systems have a better iPod interface as well as some other features and I was wondering if the system in my 2009 car could be upgraded to include these improvements?

Also, how do I update my maps?

The 2010 systems have a totally different USB interface and no CF input instead of the iPod/CF of the 2009 systems. The Nav unit also has a better (higher resolution?) screen.

There isn't an upgrade path without replacing all the hardware.

Updating your maps requires purchasing a code from NavTeq and paying your dealer to install the upgrade:

I am going to wait another year to do it.

Now is the time to do this for 09 370z's as they just came out with the 2010-2011 version 8.4 upgrade at Navteq.

Wish the update added better (or selectable) map color palettes - something about the brown doesn't agree with me.
