Sony Xav 70BT ranking level from forum
 

So peeps, I just ordered the Sony Xav 70BT but I wanted to see if anybody has it in their car yet. I havent installed it yet but figured I would see whether I made a good choice.

Um...sony has lost their quality touch when they introduced the xplod line back in the 90's after that their car audio line has become mostly junk to put it plainly. I would look at the lower end alpine or pioneer before getting a sony.

:( yea... I thought the same but figured atleast their headunits might be decent. I use to be an alpine guy. Had a Type x and v12 in my 350z but to be honest thats what turned me away. I didnt like the sound out of it and my taste towards alpine started declining. I order some Boston Acoustics SR60 Car Speaker so i was hoping to set up on the audio. Hopefully this headunit makes me proud.

And FYI: I will be getting a 4 channel amp to run the front speakers and one w3 sub

Alpine head units are great, type x can be a bit harsh but they still build great amps and head units. I would recommend looking at them again. Just run something like polk or another company for speakers. Even me being a alpine guy do not like alpine speakers that much when polks are much better for cheaper money.
