Vehicle Speed Signal & Reverse Wires
So I'm trying to finish up the harness for my Pioneer AVIC-X920BT. I've connected most of the easy stuff, done the bypass and the wires for the PAC SWI-PS.
What I'm left with is the blue wire on the antenna adapter wich I'm going to connect to the Pioneer harness (The blue wire on the Scosche harness going to the Nissan harness does nothing). Thanks for that info Bigaudiofanat. -The purple wire is for the reverse signal for the camera. Does anyone know if that can be tapped on the loom that runs down the tunnel or near the trans or do you have to tap the reverse lights? If you have to tap the lights in the back does anyone have a close up of the location and wire color? -And lastly the pink vehicle speed signal wire on the Pioneer harness. I think this is for thier Ecco mode and for some of the nav functions like ETA and keeping the nav accuracy when you loose signal (like in a tunnel ECT.). I found in the the thread Steering Wheel Control this diagram: Don't know where this is from (I don't have the FSM). http://www.the370z.com/attachments/a...s-non-bose.png It says pin 18 is speed but my head started to hurt after looking at it for a bit because to me some of the other wires didn't seen to match. I don't know if you are supposed to look at that from the PIN side or wire side. has anyone used that wire on the Nissan radio harness for like the HKS camp, thier head unit or something else? If so is it the yellow wire on the bottm corner? EDIT: I just noticed it says "Y" for color but would still like confirmation if it works. Any help would be appreciated. |
You can tap into the reverse light wire down in the drivers kick panel instead of running the wire all the way to the back.
|
The wire I use for the reverse is the orange wire in the harness in the trunk on the left side.
|
That wire runs to the front in the drivers kick panel no need to run one to the back.

Do you know the color and location in the fuse block? Having trouble finding it on the service manual.
|
One is by the driver kick panel , and the other one is near the battery.
