DIY Sub Enclosure

2 Attachment(s)
So I have started building my own sub enclosure what do you guys think?

This is my first project ever on any car audio so any feedback or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

The pictures below will show you my template/prototype. I will scan it and use autocad to send it to the CNC at work and it should be an easy task from there on. Once I get it cut on the CNC and work out a template that works if anyone wants it let me know.

One more thing. I Think the recommended material is 3/4" MDF but would 3/4" lightweight MDF work also?

Light weight MDF will work.

CNC is a bit of an over kill as you can cut all those peices with a table saw and jig saw but, if you have access to a CNC then and you want to take the time then why not.

Congrats on building your own box.

I would only be cutting the front face with a CNC as its much easier for me to draw and click a button than to cut it by hand. Also if I decide to change my sub later on it will be a breeze to change that front panel.
