Default Double DIN HU's with Fold Down Faceplates - Gear Shift Interference?

I'm looking at eventually upgrading the stock HU to a Double DIN unit. Has anyone installed a full screen, drop down faceplate unit in their Z? It seems the faceplate would hit the shift lever when folded down.
