The group buy price for the 2010 is reasonable especially if it's plug and play, but holy smokes, look at the price for the 2009!

Adrey, At Specialized Performance (a vendor at NAGTROC) sells a camera that works for the 2009 and 2010 370z, but they are two different units because of the udpated nav in 2010. Essentially the difference between the two units is that the '09 unit requires an additional part/switch in order to initialize the camera when the car goes into the reverse. as you can see baed on DeLRo's instructions, the 2010's do this by themselves once activated via the diagnostic mode. Anyways that leaves the '09s camera fix more expensive than the 2010's.

2010 unit is 495 normally, group buy price: $350

2009 unit is 825 normally, group buy price: $665

10 total committed would allow us to get the lowered pricing. (ie if 8 2010's and 2 2009's commit, everyone can get group buy pricing.)

committed=50%deposit.

As i understand the units are sold with a 1 year warranty

it may turn out that the NAVTOOL for the '09s might prove to be a less expensive option, in which case i will try and setup a group buy for you '09 guys.

I've been a member here for a while, and i want to get it out of the way right now. i am in no way trying to profit from this and i'm not trying to sell anything. i'm aware of the requirements for selling things on the forum and i'm aware that at the moment, I, nor Adrey@Specialize Performance are vendors. i'm just trying my best to arrange a way for all of us to get camera's like our cars should have come with in the first place. I have sent AK a message in order to go over how we can implement this group buy and who needs to become a vendor and whatnot in order to set it in motion. but anyways, that is the pricing, and these units will work.

anyways, that is where we stand right now. tomorrow i will call navtool to see the logistics of a group buy and see if it might be a cheaper alternative for the 2009 guys.

I'd be interested if there was a cheaper option for the 09's

This looks like a cheaper alternative for the '09 guys.

it involves the navtool, and there are a few DIY's on it. Since we have such a large number of people from each model year, we have enough for two group buys from two different sources, depending on what people want to go with. However, the only feasible solution for the 2010's is the GTR camera rig in this group buy. the '09s can use either this or the navtool. i will call navtool tomorrow to see what we can work out.

Guys, I have just become a member and are a authorized vendor. We have been selling these rear camera kits for GTRS over 2+ years, and also have sold some for the 370z customers. We unlike others trying to sell, are a legitimate company that will provide full customer service 24/7 and provide a full 1 yr full warranty on all our products with a no questions asked replacement policy. We offer and have in stock both kits. One for the 2009, and the other for the 2010+. Below are a few pictures that one of out customers with a 2009 model 370z sent to us.

Specialized - are your kits for the 2010 plug-n-play? any pictures of the 2010 system with guidelines working? If not perhaps you can post or email a pdf instruction manual.

Here is a picture of the guidelines on a gtr. These would be the same on the 370z. These guidelines are user selectable from the diagnostic settings. The 2010 kits are plug and play. The 2009 models require a few wires to be tapped into.

Jeffblue 10-26-2010 12:13 AM

Adrey which camera is included with the kit? assuming it is being mounted above the license plate, which is pretty much the stock location for nissan/infiniti

lachap55 10-26-2010 10:12 AM

camera

2010 plat. roadster, 370 fully loaded z.
nissan intentionally left off the camera function on the 2010. it should be a simply plug and play sollution....but will it cost a arm and a leg. does nissan appletize their accessories?(let other vender make parts for their accessories)or will they keep the patent?

The lines are set are either ON or OFF.

Specialized, can you link to an installation guide?
Thanks.

Specialized 10-26-2010 01:32 PM

Guys, we are looking to Sponsor a local 370z (2010+)in the South Florida area to install the rear camera kit. We would offer the kit at the group buy pricing and we would offer free installation on the kit. Anyone interested please give us a call.

djpathfinder 10-26-2010 01:35 PM

Perhaps if the camera was installed so that it was angled downward right above the license plate, the lines would match up better with the horizon. Plus the video you see would be less of a worm's eye view perspective. Does the kit give you a housing option for installing it there?

Specialized 10-26-2010 01:41 PM

Keep in mind that the picture above is from a GTR, and not a 370. The viewing angle might differ than the picture above. Also, the camera is mounted on a bracket that allows you to set the angle to your viewing preference.
