good to know! i hope it works out for everyone. a few more. i'd' like to get as many people as possible and then contact one of the dealers/vendors. also we're probably gonna have to wait until the '11s actually hit the showrooms. but the more the better!

The back up camera there using in the Z is the same one that comes in the rogue and the marono from the IPB I just found on the net. It used the same part number.

I want to say yes. There is also a switch that connects to the shifter that way if you put the vehical in reverse it automatically brings it up on the screen. The only thing i can't tell is to where it hooks up into the system because it can't use AV ports since they are disabled the moment you put the car into any gear. I will try to see what else i can find since we are going to need the camera and the switch. I don't think they are sold together since they both had seperate part numbers. The biggest issue we are going to have I think is getting the new software/firmware.

did they give you any estimate on the cost of the camera/software? are they just going to update your nav to 2011 software to get it to work after wiring it up?

price seems to be the same for all of them, just a slightly different part number. they all start with 28442, they may all be the same. so look slike the parts themselves will cost about the 419, then its the software thats the other variable and how to implement it into the older nav versions or update our nav versions to the 2011. rep for finding that toner:tup:

so i'm thinking once these become available, maybe we could get a group buy price and save some money on the parts if we get them all from a dealer on here.

who will get to 10 first, '09s or '10s ?

wheee! 10-22-2010 12:14 PM

Keep in mind the wiring harness for the 2010 and 2011 should be the same and that the harness for the 2009 is different and will therefore need another mod before this system will "plug and play". The screens are different resolutions and the pinouts are different.

well actually, the 09's have a plug and play solution already. the NAVTOOL works for the 2009's as a plug and play unit. a few people on here have it already and its only like $300 something. however, it is not plug and play for the 2010, and it costs 500, and thats not including a camera or anyhting.
