Need help selecting a HU.
I am new to the whole HU industry. I have never changed one out or had one changed out in any of my cars before. So I really have no idea what to look for.
What I want is a double din HU that is touch screen. I also want it to be able to have tons of functions such as nav, ipod, usb, mp3, dvd, etc etc. The thing that may limit this search down to a very few HU is that I want it capable of reading my car's info similar to the GTR. I have also considered a carputer but the FM tuner on it usually sucks. Does anyone know any good HU or can recommend one to me so I can look up reviews? Thanks |
Do a search around plenty of threads about people asking for suggestions for head units here.

This is what I've got and it is awesome. All the functions that you're asking for plus voice command that works very well. PM Nazar at WickedCAS and tell him that I sent you.

Your going to need a external device for that stuff no head unit is going to have that built in.I can not remember what it was alled but I think greddy makes something that plugs into your diagnostic port and plugs into your video input on your new head unit.

i think the HKS camp 2 give all that information....but its something you'd have to buy separately from the HU and then find a way to connect them both together...

op- you sound like you need to get like 10 a-pillar guages. :D
btw, why do you need so many readings? |

I want to avoid the a-pillar since it is a bit too flashy when people look from the outside. I also have plans to go with a twin turbo kit. Just waiting another year or two to see how the turbo industry goes with the 370z. |
I'd look at the Clarion line, Im gonna go with a double din Clarion unit, Im just saving up for one.
