I was serious about the carputer. The thing with it is that the FM tuners are usually pretty bad.

I Have 2 - JL Audio 10w6 subs in a stealth enclosure. Can post pics if needed.

The stealth enclosure was $150 off eBay and is silky smooth! you can prob go with one JL 10w6 if money is an issue. Those subs pound and dont require much space which is ideal for our cars.

I went with Alpine's new touch screen dvd nav system but thats obiously not neccessary on a budget, every Pioneer head unit Ive owned has always produced great sound.

As for mids and highs, check out focal. Even there low end gear is good!

Dude that looks beautiful, is it the Zenclosure? What kind of amp are you powering them with? Also are you running stock speakers or components? fronts only or front + rear?

Thanks bro, the box is made by custom box man. He sells them on eBay for $135 and is great quality.

Here's the link...

Custom Nissan 370Z Sub Box Speaker Enclosure 1 or 2 10": eBay Motors (item 230494086361 end time Oct-28-10 14:44:08 PDT)

Powering the subs is a Kicker 2 channel 750 watt amp, I purchased the identical amp but in 4 channel also, as I intended on replacing the Bose surrounds with Focal, then amplifying them. I never did it as the factory Bose speakers actually sound really good once I added the Apline unit and was able to eliminate any bass going to them.

If anyone is interested I still have that 4 channel amp brand new in box with extended warranty from 6th ave. Its just sitting in my closet so Im willing to take $250 just to get rid of it. Anything goes wrong with the amp you can bring it to 6th ave and they will replace it, no questions asked.

The guy who made my box also makes solo enclosures in case you want to go with just one sub. All of the cuts are perfect and it fits flush to the sides.

Have fun setting up your system bud, feel free to PM me if I can answer any technical questions you may have,

JBuzz
