Why are Bose systems hated?

I will say it has a great screen though.

However I am not going to judge people for what they choose to use. If it works for you it works for you.

Unfortunatley that's pretty much the ONLY reason why I own an iPod.

After reading everyone's posts i just wanted to add that i purchased a new nismo a few months ago and of course you only get the very low end system installed and it is indeed crap. Granted when in a nismo music is not the first priority but you do expect more from the name Bose.

Latest version of Zune download service lets you keep up to 10 tracks a month, forever. Adapters for Zune/iPod interface integration have already been demonstrated and are being rolled out as we speak. Apple's marketing department is the best in the business. Congratulations on your new car, just be lucky that it did not come with the bose system so it is much easier to upgrade.

Steve I have seen them still even if zune came up in the ball park of a ipod I still would stick with apple.

Did anyone figure out a way to install a new system on models touring models? I hve rainbow germaniums sitting around and was thinking about putting them to use. But wanted to keep the stock buttons so would probably use that jl audio piece for that.

You can keep the bose head unit and the bose amps just have to use a mtx re-q 5 and new amps to run new speakers. You would burn out the bose amps if you ran the speakers off them and would not sound right either.

Have you done that kind of install before? what would you charge if I wanted you to install it for me. If you do installs that is.
