A discrete amplifier will not only have more power, but you can run low resistant loads of 2 ohms. Virtually all quality outboard amplifiers are discrete. Amplifiers built into head units and power boosters are not discrete. A discrete amplifier will have much higher dynamic headroom resulting in crisper highs and deep tight bass.

Also OEM stereos even the bose in the 370z do not have discrete amplification.

Alpine PDX adn JL Audio HD series are excellent amplifiers. I would suggest a 4 channel so yo can bridge the to rear channels to run a subwoofer.

Adding a good subwoofer will take you to the next level of the audio experience.
