Phase one done

Hope to post pics later. Just installed a set of JBL components in my 09.
The difference is amazing. I am surprised at the quality of the JBL'S.
No need for rear speakers as i feared.

On a budget so now must decide between a powered sub or buying an amp
and a enclosure.

Don't say that!! You need the rear speakers for a more "Full" sound. A true "expert" told me that!

I've played with a few amped loaded systems, and you would be better off doing a amp and sub for a couple reasons. More out put, and easier to hide. they are more money, but soooo worth it.

Glad you didn't waste money on rears.

I completely agree.

Go ahead i can take it. Had to start some place so i went with the components
first. I read most on here say go with HU first. And i can respect that. But i had an extra 250.00 to spend and just couldn't take the crappy sound of those stock speakers. You guys know what they look and sound like. And it did improve
the overall sound greatly! I looked at it like putting a 500 HP motor in a sports
car and having a cheap xss transmission and slick tires.I thought putting in a good HU would just make the cheap nissan speakers sound that much more crappy.

But HU is coming in a week or so. JVC KW-XR810 with built in bluetooth.

sorry to ramble thanks for all the good advice.

No i am glad you noticed a sound qualitiy difference with changing out the speakers, it just proves my point. The HU in newer cars is far better then they were and you can build a nice sounding stereo off it.

On another note i put the JVC 830 into a firends car a couple weeks ago, and he loves it.

That JVC HU is certainly intriguing for a really great price. I've been contemplating whether I'd really need one with the navigation (I certainly don't need a DVD player) when all I really want is bluetooth and the ability to play music from a HD, with sat. radio capabilities.

This one has it all.

Looking forward to hearing what you think of it, and seeing what it looks like in the Z.

90ST - That JVC 830 actually looks to be exactly what I'm looking for.

Doesn't prove anything. Ofcourse replacing the speakers would improve the sound. If anything his post proves my point! He said he doesn't have the money to replace the headynit now, but can replace the speakers because it's a lot less expensive. Thus an easier sale for an installer would now has a clientele that will be a relatively easy upscale for a headynit at a later date!

it prove you DON'T have to chagne the HU in the first place to get better sound, or at all.
