No Radio Reception after install

Here is the back story, 6 months ago I installed a JVC KW-XG700 Receiver and connected the blue wire on the FM Booster. Everything was working great till about a month ago and now I cant seem to get any ready reception? Anyone have any ideas on what I should check? I pulled the reciever out last night and checked to make sure everything was connected and that the booster was still getting 12volts. Does the FM booster ever go bad? How does one check this?

Thanks
Don

So the blue wire was sending out 12 volts? Sometimes they go bad on some receivers. If it was I would say you have a bad fm booster, or make sure the harnesses are both connected tightly first.

I took a volt meter and measured the voltage at the blue wire on the FM adapter and it showed 12 volts. Where is the FM booster located in the car?

Can anyone tell me where the FM booster is located in the car?

I believe it is somewhere around your rear glass. I would take it to the dealer and have them check it or replace it. They can be a pain sometimes.

I saw the schematic that included the FM Booster in the service manual that you can find on this site - just download that PDF and skim through it - I believe it is in the rear on the driver side behind the interior panels. Good luck!
