Bluetooth making random calls - help please
I bought a Z the other day. I have the Bluetooth connected to my Motorola Droid phone.
Twice I made outgoing calls with Bluetooth that connected and worked great. However, after the calls within a minute it would make a second call random person on my Droid's contact list. I didn't tell it to call anyone after the first call was over! Only thing I can think of is that when Bluetooth operates it makes my phone go past the slide screen to use it and then if its pressing on my leg in my pocket the pressure randomly opened the contact screen and then called someone. I don't think this is likely however. I am afraid to use Bluetooth at all now since I don't want to randomly dial someone I don't want to talk to. Anyone have a clue what is going on here or how to fix it? |

On top gear Hammond had a problem with that. But I have not heard of this problem other wise might want to leave your droid out and see what it does if anything when the calls happen.

It's one of 2 things.
First try not to sit on your phone. Take it out of your pocket and place the phone on the seat next to you or in the console. If it still makes calls then name the car Christine call a priest to coduct an exorcism

I also have the had the same problem with my Droid. I keep my phone in my pocket as well. When the phone is locked, no problem. When I receive a call through my blue tooth the phone automatically unlocks. When the call is done, the unlocked phone, still in my pocket, will press against my leg and make an outgoing call, text or anything else that is available. Many times I have taken my phone out of my pocket to see the start of a text message in gibberish. The solution is to take the phone out of your pocket when sitting in the car.

Put your phone in the cubby above the HU. The problem is something is causing your phone to dial out, I had this one phone that I would be making random calls all the time due to poor button layout.
Isolate the phone and see if this fixes the problem, if not try a different phone to isolate it to your phone. Should be able to identify the culprit with some process of elimination. |

Thanks guys/gals. I will try that. I guess another option would be to find if there is a droid cover with a lid on it to cover the screen. That way I could leave it in my pocket.

Yea I guess so, how I destroyed my first blackberry screen it was in my pocket and I leaned against a door frame and it snapped my screen. I would suggest take it out of your pocket so you don't wreck your phone.

Did just start happening? I have a droid also, and this just happened to me on on Friday. I have a Kenwood HU though, not the stock bluetooth.. Wonder if this is a Droid thing vs a Z thing.
